About our son

Our son is 29 months old, soon to be 2 1/2 years old, he lives in Kushan City. His special needs are a repaired cleft lip, an unrepaired cleft palate and a cleft in the alveolar ridge (upper gums).

He appears to be eating well even with the cleft as our update from the end of February stated he was 30 pounds,35 inches tall, and his foot was 6.45 inches long. He is smiling in most of the pictures we have received.

According to our update he is being shown the photo album we sent in his care package and he knows his MA MA and BA BA are coming to get him soon.

We have an appointment with the pediatrician scheduled for the day after we get back and his first cleft palate team is scheduled for May 20th.

We leave to get him on April 4th and return April 15th. We are flying nonstop from the southeast part of the US to Shanghai, both ways.

7 days till we leave

After all the waiting it seems hard to believe we will be flying to China at this time next week. We have our paperwork in order. We have gotten most of the supplies we want to carry with us and have figured out what bags to take with us. Now we have to get the house in order, the laundry washed, and pack towards the end of the week.
